Microsoft Outlook Express is the modern, improved version of Internet Mail. It comes with Internet Explorer 4 and is a great improvment over the old version. With support for multiple mailboxes and many other advanced features, Outlook Express would be a great choice even if it wasn't free (which it is!). Internet Mail is the client that most people start with as it comes with Windows 95. It's a simple program that does the job. Folowing is the step by step.
Outlook Express
When you install Outlook Express on top of your existing system it should read your old preferences and use those. If you need to adjust or set these you can do so manually. First launch Outlook Express (Start --> Programs --> Internet Explorer --> Outlook Express) then go to the menu bar and choose Tools --> Accounts. From here you can set-up multiple accounts including news accounts. The Net Nevada news server is located at news.netnevada.net. For the mail settings use the format explained for Internet Mail. Happy Mailing!
Internet Mail
Launch Internet Mail (Start --> Programs --> Internet Mail). If this is your first time launching Internet Mail a Wizard will pop up and ask you all the pertinent questions. It will ask for your "Name" which means your real name or how you would like it to appear in outgoing mail. It will ask for your e-mail address (mailbox@netnevada.net). Next is your "POP3 (Incomming Mail) Server" which is mail.yourdomain.net, then the "Outgoing Mail Server" which is smtp.netnevada.net. Check the box that says "Log-On Using Account Name & Password". For "Account Name" put just your mailbox name and for password you would obviously put your password. Click "Finish" and you should be set to go! Hit the "Send & Receive" button to send and receive. If you have already used Internet Mail you will need to go to Mail --> Options to reset your preferences.
